The Birth of a KATTY Corset: The Art of Merging Past and Present

Each KATTY corset is the fruit of a passion born from the first corset I created. Behind each piece lies a meticulous and artistic manufacturing process. It starts with fabric choice: a crucial step where I immerse myself in detail, seeking to choose the right fabric that matches the vision of the final corset. Patterns, colors and texture should be in harmony.

The magic continues with cutting, particularly delicate when the fabric has patterns that must flow naturally. Then, it's time for assembly, inserting the ribs, and creating the lining. Each step is designed to ensure a room that is both beautiful and comfortable.

The history of fabric is at the heart of my creations. I often turn to vintage fabrics, the richness and quality of which are no longer found today. Whether they are treasures unearthed in flea markets, antique shops, or recycled pieces like old curtains, each piece has a soul, a story to tell. And it is in this dialogue between the past and the present that my creations are born.

My commitment to eco-responsibility, although initially unintentional, was naturally integrated into my approach. By bringing old fabrics back to life, I fuse the old and the modern, creating unique pieces steeped in history.

Today, with the precious help of my mother and my aunt, each corset is made by hand, with love and expertise. Soft materials, such as cotton for the lining, ensure comfort for the wearer.

My dreams ? Growing, collaborating with more enthusiasts, and expanding my range to offer you other equally exceptional pieces, such as blouses, dresses and skirts. Because every time I discover a new fabric, a vintage button or an old pearl, my heart races and my creativity ignites.
